I had the good fortune to be invited to do music for the Spring Summer 2010 collection for River Island which involved some Janet Jackson, Diplo, Visage, Beatnik tunes, 10cc, Yazoo & many more.
The women's collection looked straight out of the 80's which is always gonna be a winner for me. They had really paid attention in the accessories department too- there were some astoundingly good pieces. As far as bags, shoes & jewelry go, River Island really are killing it. Below are some of the images I took from both the press days for men and women's collections. My favourite items were the black leather studded bum bag, the pink lace leotard, espadrilles (see I told you Statis espadrilles are the Ones) and the rucksack with fakey racoon's tails.
In the mean time- I have my eyes on some fantastic over the knee boots from RI which look like something out of Flash Gordon- the Movie from the 80s. Amazing, but I cant find a pic!:( I'll blog me wearing them instead soon..
