The dope Parisian store Colette has come to London for a few weeks in the form of a pop-up store at The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, East Ldn. The shop has opened in conjunction with Nissan and is called 'The Cube Store' in homage to the Cube car (check the pic lol) from Nissan who are sponsoring the whole thing.
I was going to go check it out today but then I found out a few minor details...you cant just go into the shop & buy stuff you have to get on a guest list!! Yes a f***ing guest list for a shop- LATERS! I have had enough guest lists to last a life time, I don't even like putting other people through guests list trauma for club nights!
...and it gets worse. You have to either apply online to get on the guest list to visit the shop (which British Vogue reports is not as easy as it sounds)or, get this- run around after one of their sponsored Nissan Cube cars that are allegedly driving around London, like some a lunatic, then ask the driver for an invite!
WTF I know someone at an 'edgy' creative agency probably got paid lots of £££ to come up with this dumb ass treasure hunt, but really??
Nothing in any shop would be worth doing all that crap.
The Cube Colette pop up shop is there until Jan 3rd.
