My friend Arieta, PR for River Island and all round Fashionista went to the British Fashion Awards last night. I was keen to get the lowdown today and find out who wore what and Arieta's personal highlights...here is what Miss Fashion had to say...
NIKKI: Hey Arietta, how are you luv?
ARIETA: Alright Nikki!!
NIKKI: How are you today after your big night out?
ARIETA: I am absolutely shattered and can barely function… need fry up really bad!!
NIKKI: Lol! So Arietta Fashionista extraordinaire. Tell me, how did you manage to lay your hands on the golden ticket to the British Fashion Awards?
ARIETA: River Island Blessed me with a ticket as we have a table there every year. I went last year as well and I am always just so grateful.. me, a shit kid from Lagos at the British fashion awards? Still doesn’t register..
NIKKI: What did you wear? :)
ARIETA: A black body con dress with gold metallic flecks.. topped it up with an uber beaded cardigan and bondage boots.. all by River Island of course.
NIKKI: Did you get any good pictures from the night or meet anyone interesting?:)
ARIETA: I met James Corden, I said I love u and he went I FUCKING love u and all!! Brilliant!! I also said hello to the legend that is GRACE CODDINGTON! And to one of my idols PAT MCGRATH, she is an amazing make up artist and inspiration to black kids who want to work in the industry. I also had a chin wag with SHINGAI from the noisettes, she is brilliant and good fun.
NIKKI: Who did you think was Best Dressed?
ARIETA: I loved Rosamund Pike’s dress, thought she looked lovely.
NIKKI: So what was your Top Fashion Moment?
ARIETA: Karen Elson falling off stage and re composing her self to present the OUTSTANDING achievement award to fellow red head Grace Coddington!
