Saturday was the Look Magazine LFW show at the Saatchi Gallery, SW1. Look Magazine brought together the top names on the high street to show 10 outfits each that epitomised each brands look for next season.
They also invited readers and competition winners from the magazine to go to the show who sat alongside press, celebrities, bloggers & fashionistas. This is the only time I can think of, that this has happened and I thought it was fantastic.
The styling for the show and the pieces that the brands chose were all on- point and quite fashion forward. Each high street brand chose 10 outfits which summed up their forthcoming collections and each section was previewed with a video showing more of their clothes, photoshoots & styles.
The only thing I wasnt feeling at the show was the music. There were all the usual suspects on the playlist, but it didnt flow- there was no cohesion from song to song, no mixing and it was very abstract. Maybe its just because I live and breathe music, but it kinda put me off the show a bit... Overall though, it was a great spectacle and it proves how obsessed with fashion & style the whole of the UK has become and I maintain we have the most stylist high street's & the most fashion forward high street shoppers in the world.
Well done to Look for pulling it off & making it fun & highlighting the great British High Street.
Pixie Lott Sang Live half way through the show and was excellent live!
Molly from The Sturdays was front row
The lovely Beverly Knight- the nicest woman in showbiz
Chloe & Claire representing for the mighty H&M- one of my all time favourite High Street brands- you can always find something super- fashion in Hennes.
