Jaeger Rocks

I used to think as Jaeger as a classic but older woman's label, my Mum used to love it and rock workwear from Jaeger in the 70's and 80's- which looking back at how fly my Mum was in pictures now, should have been a huge hint as to Jaeger's enduring style.
Recently they have gone to the top of my style radar with their latest collection. Their Jaeger London A/W Campaign is shot amazingly and looks so beautiful and soooo London. (Brownie points from me being a supporter of all things LDN)
Stuart Stockdale, Jaeger's Design Director said “We wanted to shoot a campaign for Autumn/Winter 2010 that captures the iconic spirit of Jaeger London, combined with an impressive London backdrop - evoking the glamour of all the great Jaeger campaigns from the past, whilst making a strong modern statement.”

They have also brought out their 'Boutique' Range which is aimed at the younger Jaeger customer and contains some really dope pieces. I actually want the pin tuck jeans and the frill coat (amazing) the leopard dress and the Chanel inspired jackets are great. Think I might rock some Jaeger for up- coming gigs and tour.Jaeger is excited to reveal its dynamic Jaeger London Autumn/Winter 2010 campaign.

The 75th Birthday of The De La Warr Pavilion- 75yrs of music

On August Bank Holiday Monday, the De La Warr Pavilion celebrated its 75th Birthday with a huge party on the terrace, which I was lucky enough to DJ for.
The focal point for the day being the re-creation of a famous photograph first printed in the Daily Mirror in 1936.
Here's what he De La Warr said about the day....
In the Bank Holiday sunshine over 1500 people gathered on the terrace in front of photographer Sheila Burnett who was lifted 5metres on a Genie lift to be in exactly the same angle and position as the Daily Mirror photographer must have been 74 years ago.

The Daily Mirror Eight, the dance troupe in the middle of the terrace, were replaced by parkour/free-running outfit The Urban Shadows, who put on a spectacular show for a cheering crowd before staging the actual shot.
At 10am that morning, 120 people from the local community sang a Summertime, Sway and Abba’s Mamma Mia. The orchestra played Spread a Little Happiness and a Beatles medley, as well as a new piece – Seventy Five Years of the De La Warr – composed by Mike Hatchard to celebrate the day.
After the performance everyone sang Happy Birthday!Free Tea and cake were then served to everyone outside the auditorium, courtesy Yorkshire Tea and then the dancing started…. Seventy-five tunes for seventy-five years kept us dancing until sunset with an playlist of classics and re-discovered hits put together by DJ Nikki Beatnik.

This fantastic party came at the end of an enormously successful weekend for the Pavilion which saw 10,000 people visit. Thanks to Sam Martin for the decent photos on here! The rest are mine :)

my DJ booth was inside the sculptural bandstand outside the De La Warr looking out to sea
