Biologically speaking, there may be genes that make some individuals more prone to developing eating disorders than other people. Emotional health is another variety of the bulimia nervosa causes. These individuals have low self esteem, tendencies of perfectionism, impulsive behavior, and anger management issues that can lead to binge eating then afterwards a feeling of guilt and shame which concludes in purging or bulimia..

Today’s society have encouraged and imprinted on teenagers especially on females that being thin is being beautiful. Anything other than that is ugly. Success is even at times being equated with being thin. Peer pressure is another bulimia nervosa cause as tthe sufferer is pressured into looking fit and healthier than they are currently.

The most common is mineral depletion. This has a negative effect on the heart, bones and skin. A sufferer can faint easily, and feel lethargic all throughout the day.

Another bulimia danger is electrolyte deficiency. Electrolyte disturbance can lead to cardiac arrest. The heart can stop beating as a result of extremely low levels of potassium and other electrolytes.

The digestive system is in danger if you suffer from bulimia. Gastric acid from vomiting can cause erosion of the esophagus and the throat. This can cause the stomach to experience problems with their bowel movement. The bowel becomes sluggish making the sufferer constipated. Other bulimia dangers include blood in the vomit, abdominal cramps, bloating, and sore throat.

In the early stages of bulimia, the mental health of the sufferer gets affected easily. Sufferers oftentimes appear to lose sense of appetite. Bulimics have high levels of anxiety and depression. This is due to the fact that sufferers tend to stay away from their loved ones and friends so as to hid away their disorder.

Other bulimia dangers include extreme feelings of guilt. They feel guilt over letting their disorder get the best of them, but they also feel guilt for eating normal amounts of food for non-sufferers but seem too much for bulimic sufferers.

Bulimia sufferers often complain about aches and pains in their bones and joints. Weakening of the spine can cause severe back aches. Skin complications can occur for bulimics like a change in skin color.

Women sufferers of bulimia have found that their skin becomes really dry looking. Signs of inflammation and irritation can appear from time to time, thus the youthful glow that they once had gradually disappears.

Bulimia dangers range from physical to emotional, from organ damage to skin complications and overall glow. The best way to eliminate these complications is to avoid bulimia altogether. If you suffer from bulimia or you know someone close to you who suffers from one must seek professional help immediately so as to slowly but surely eradicate the problem. Bulimia sufferers need only the help and support of their family members, and they need to be understood.

The 2010 L'Oreal Awards, London

It's been a busy old week and I am only just getting around to blogging as been on the road with Kelis- so bear with me please! Last Monday I had the pleasure of Djing for the L'Oreal Awards for Hairdressing 2010 and boy was it a show- it kicked the arses of all other Awards Shows. If you wanna know how to run an event, this was the Rolls Royce Phantom of events. Firstly I had 4 amazing male dancers from AMCK Models who brought me on to the runway to start the show. From there was danced over to the DJ booth ( I kid you not!) and I started the soundtrack for the show. The show was hosted by George Lamb and showcased the hottest hairdressers in the county and their work in Fashion. There were absolutely astounding outfits, fabulous fashion and mind blowing hair on the models. Honestly, the production of the whole show was so amazing that I was so proud to be part of it. After the Awards I went to my second DJ Booth of the night and got the dancfloor rocking with some Yazoo, Redlight, Dizee, MJ and Wham. Soooo much fun! Here are some of the pics and Videos from the night me and my dancers backstage me and Aicha McKenzie from AMCK Models and AMCK Dance

Glastonbury 2010 with Kelis!

We set off for Glastonbury in the morning via Heathrow to pick up Kelis and Rashida and crew, motored down to the SW with a pit stop at Stone Henge.
It was my first time at Glastonbury although I felt right at home due to the amount of my friends tweeting me from various fields. We all pitched up in the dance area at 4.30pm and were due on stage at 8.30pm so we had a walk around the mammoth festival and then got ready last minute to hit the stage. We were on the urban stage alongside Chipmunk, N-Dubz, Skepta and a load of other artists I saw hanging around backstage.

We did a 45 minute live set which was so much fun and the crowd loved K. She absolutely smashed it.
