The River Island Press Preview A/W 2010 Shows

River Island are fast becoming the force to be reckoned with on the British High Street. A few months ago they had Kelis model their London Fashion Week Graduates Collection and I love spinning for their Salon Shows for the Fashion Press. Not only is it a fun day, but I get to sneak a look at all the newest pieces coming out for next season.



This time it was their Xmas Collection. My favourite pieces were the leopard wedges and the clog boots (I have put in my order already!) They will look great with everything - the only thing is I had some exactly the same 15 yrs ago heh heh..

Faithless new record 'Feelin Good' premiered last night on Ch4- it's a Big Look!

I actually love Faithless. They have the Wonderful Sister Bliss- DJ and musician- and the mesmerising front man Maxi Jazz. They make interesting British Music with a melting pot of influences and they know how to put on a show. Their new record featuring Dido 'Feelin Good' premiered last night in between Big Brother as the only advert during the 3 minute break. A kind of new video premier meets advert meets rave up during the commericals.
Faithless have made a bold move and teamed up with Fiat to bring out their own version of the Fiat Punto Evo! Is this a first for a dance group?? I'm not sure, but the little dolls of Maxi and Sister Bliss dangling from the rear mirrors were a nice touch.

1234 Festival, Shoreditch, July

The 1234 Festival was held in Shoreditch Park on Saturday. It was really busy when we got there mid- afternoon with lots of locals, families and bands hanging out.

The best music was at the dance tent, although the DJ didnt mix at all- Just worked on 1 deck dropping one record after another, playing mostly dubstep and dance with a 90's rave vibe- I expected a bit more- you should at least be able to mix. Sometimes at Fetivals I wonder who books the line- up, there are a lot of random DJ's

LOVEBOX !!!!

I just got back in the UK when Liz told me she had Lovebox tickets for me! The girls and I made our way down there on Sunday afternoon to catch Peaches (my Favourite) Hot Chip (great) and Grace Jones (Oh my God!).

What a great festival and a great day. So laid back, with nice people (except one annoying dude who thought he could tess Arietta! LOL- eerrrr NOoooo) lots of kids, nice food and Liz's fantastic Kubicle tent!

Liz's Kubicle Party was a road- block! They had to call crowd control to deal with the revellers :)

Grace Jones Headlined Lovebox and did not dissapoint. She came out in a thong and at over 60 yrs old gave the teenagers a run for their money.
