When I saw this ByRogue's rings, I fell instantly in love. The three finger rings are so dope and inspired by old hip hop and 80's style. They could not be more perfect if they tried. I had to stalk their creator Bee...

NIKKI: Tell me about your jewelry
BEE: The first collection is based on two and three finger rings, silver gold plated. I see it as statement jewelry for girls with fierce street style and definite undeniable, individual character. Its an intro to byrogue and the brand I want to develop to represent these girls.

NIKKI: What influences your pieces?
BEE: Early 80s music and style, hip hop, freestyle, graffiti, pimps, rappers Salt n Pepper, Big Daddy Kane, Gangstarr, Snoop, Biggie, the list goes on and on and on.....for me- three finger rings are the ultimate hip hop accessory!

NIKKI: Did you study jewelery making?
BEE: Yes, I took a course a few years ago in design, then when traveling in Bali, I was taught some real design tricks by the most incredible silversmith in Ubud. Rather than travel on, I spent months shadowing him watching him create the most beautiful pieces from silver by hand with astounding precision. It was a real education.
I try and base all my pieces on something that I would love to wear, that I would keep and treasure and hope my customers do too.
NIKKI: Where do you sell your pieces?
BEE: I sell online at www.byrogue.tv and soon coming to www.kabiri.co.uk

NIKKI: What are your plans for your range next?
BEE: The ideas for jewelry keep flowing I am constantly mocking up new samples and taking influences from everyday life. I'll still focus on two and three finger rings It will also include necklaces. I am slowly developing the concept of the next collection which I hope to deliver in August 2010.

I love a parrot, they are gorgeous creatures (but then again I pretty much like all animals, bees, squirrels, monkeys, cats, dogs, horses- get the gist?)

F.TAPE, Volt Magazine & Swarovski Exhibition, London

F.TAPE, The Online Fashion Resource have teamed up with Volt Magazine, the luxury Fashion, Art & Beauty Bible & Swarovski to put on an exhibition 'Get Crystalised' in central London.
FTAPE & Volt invited some of the most talented young British Designer’s namely- HannahMarshall, Craig Lawrence, Holly Fulton, Katie
Eary, Dean Quinn, Fred Butler, Manjit Deu and
Gemma Slack to come together for a unique project
that would transform 8 oversized Volt Magazine covers, each using 1000’s of CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski gems together with their own signature materials to create
fantastical sparkling pieces of artwork.

















The exhibition is open to the public until Sunday 14th March and is definitely worth seeing in person.

Check out these amazing pieces by Adrian Morales, here are a few questions I had for him recently when we hung out in LDN...

NIKKI: Hi Adrian How are you? So, you have a dope jewellery collection, which is available on Not Just A Label, what is behind this collection?

ADRIAN: Hello Nikki. I am well, just a little jet lag at the moment.
My current collection titled the “Origin” was inspired by my recent journeys, medals of honor, the Boy Scouts of America, kilts worn in the Scottish Highlands during the 16th century and symbols of faith. It is a fusion of the past and present with a modern influence.

NIKKI: I'm Scottish, so I'm feeling the Highland influences, that's where I grew up. Do you just concentrate on jewellery pieces?
ADRIAN: At the moment yes, but exploring my options.

NIKKI: Tell me about your life in Fashion...did you study, what is your history?
ADRIAN: Well, I was working in the corporate world for several years until I realized my creative thirst. Never too late to purse a dream, I quit my posh job, sold most of my things and with only two suitcases, moved from the States to London to study the art. Been here ever since.

NIKKI: Who are your favourite designers at the moment?
ADRIAN: Wow, there are so many that are inspirational to me for different reasons but to name a few are Comme de Garcons, Viktor and Rolf, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Raf Simons, Karl Lagerfeld and Maison Martin Margiela.




NIKKI: Do you have any style icons?
ADRIAN: Not really but who’s style I have always admired is Lenny Kravitz.

NIKKI: What music or artists inspire you?
ADRIAN: There are too many. All kinds of music and artists inspire me. I guess its what I am feeling at the moment. Right now, been listening to the selection of music on the Colette website, The XX, Miike Snow and Kid Cudi and graffiti artwork from the streets.

NIKKI: What are your plans for 2010.
ADRIAN: Working on some new special projects in fashion and the new jewellery collection
