Angel Jackson Bags- AW2011 Collection

As a crazy bag lady I am a big fan of Angel Jackson. Their pieces are beautiful, super-fly and really fabulous quality. Yesterday I got a sneak preview of their AW2011 line. I know, I know, we are not even into Summer yet, but I couldnt resist posting as the brown leather Tote is so delicious- I must have one.

New OPTICALS Range from Cassius Eyewear

Cassius are the only sunglasses I wear nowadays. I have most of the range, they are so dope. When Kelis & I were in New Zealand (home of Cassius) in Feb doing a show we managed to nab a load more pairs. Yey! They are pretty much all amazing and people ask me where they are from all the time. WOW. Kelis with Duran Duran Live last night in LA

When I was a kid I thought John Taylor from Duran Duran was the hottest thing in leather trousers, apart from Big Daddy Kane- my other crush. Last night when Kelis told me she was about to go on stage to duet with the Duran boys, the first thing I asked her was 'Is John still Fitters' :)

I loved Esser's first single 'Headlock' I played it all the time in my sets. His lyrics were brilliant and so London. Here he is on Mumdance's record 'Dont Forget Me Now' which I think has been used by Skins in the US? Im not sure I dont watch Skins lol

Sad Loss- Smiley Culture died yesterday

Statis Beatnik just posted Smiley's videos on his Blog last year saying Smiley was on our hit list of people to work with as we loved him and his music. Yesterday I heard the shocking news that Smiley had died from self inflicted stab wounds during a police drugs raid. It's so confusing, but Im really sad for his family. I wish I had got to work with him.

I woke up to news on the huge earthquake in Japan

I woke up this morning after crazy dreams and a bad nights sleep to hideous news on the huge earthquake in Japan & lots of people sending their prayers to the people there on Twitter. Here's my take. Prayers are all good after the fact, it is human nature to reach out for something of a higher power to help in times of disaster, but maybe we should all take steps to curb our emmisions worldwide and try to halt global warming. Otherwsie earthquakes & tsunami's & droughts & floods are going to continue more frequently and get much much worse.
